WinterJam 2012 is just days away!

The only things standing between you and fellowship with Christian friends and great music is getting your parent's permission, having $10.00 in hand the night of the show, and signing up with Pastor Anton. Under the band lineup picture, there is a permission slip that needs to be filled out by each student and their parents and turned back into Pastor Anton by the day of the event.

We will be leaving together in the church buses and vans at 2:00PM Sunday Jan 22nd. You are welcome to bring food and snacks on the trip, and please do consider bringing a few extra dollars for eating at a fast food restaurant.

Also, please signup at the snack-shop counter in the Lakeview Student Center if you have not already done so. There are bus roaster lists available to signup on.

SpringHill Winter Retreat 2012

Why do we go to SpringHill?
It is a Christ-Centered ministry camp, located up in Evart Michigan, where students and adult leaders can go to move away from the normal activities of life and grow closer to God through fellowship, games, activities, Worship, preaching, prayer and small group time.
SpringHill is set for March 2-4 2012, and it is open to students currently enrolled in grades 6th-12th. Please prayerfully consider if a winter retreat might be beneficial in your spiritual walk.

Please have your registration and $50.00 non-refundable deposit to Pastor Anton by Feb. 19th 2011.

Last Night at Lakeview Church, we had our Christmas Play "A Baby Changes Everything."
Dec 4th 2011
Excellent Job to everyone that was a part of the cast and crew. Thank you friends for coming out and supporting this Christmas Play. What a wonderful reminder it was to each of us about the importance of Jesus coming in Human Flesh, yet Him remaining fully God. If we truly grasp and believe that Jesus was not only a human infant child, but that He was indeed also God, then it will revolutionize our lives. This truth has changed my life, and for me the title of the play resonates with my spirit... For that One Child, Jesus Christ, did change my everything!

The event location that is the nearest to us is set for Nov. 5th - 6PM at the Memorial Coliseum in Fort Wayne. Guess what... the cost is STILL ONLY $10 at the Door!

This is a HUGE lineup of Christian artists, and I promise you do not want to miss. Make sure and add this to your iphone calendar, mark in on the fridge, or write it on your friend's arm. This is going to be awesome!

*We will not be taking a group to this event as a Youth Ministry. Instead, I suggest that you and your friends, or family make plans to attend. Have a great time!

We simply meet at the school's flagpole and spend some time in prayer (this year it is Wednesday the 28th), seeking the Lord's blessing on classmates, teachers, our schools, our city, and our nation. Please come and be a part of this event.

Fandana - Christian Music Festival Aug 11th-12th

This Thursday and Friday there is going to be an awesome Christian Music Festival very close to home. The event, Fandana, will be hosted at Huntington University Aug 11th-12th.
The cost is only $15.00 per person (if we have a group of 15 or more) to attend either or both days of the festival. We will not be meeting the following Wednesday July 13th due to many members of our youth group going on a short term mission trip to Honduras July 10th-18th. Please pray for the team members during this mission trip, and for there to be unity among us as a group/ministry team.

Jr High Fairmount Summer Camp "Crank It Up" is underway, and off to a great start. It is not too late to still sign up for Sr High camp though! Sr High camp "SHIFT" starts this coming Monday June 27th.

We have begun a new study in our weekly Sunday morning Sunday school class. We have been studying the Jehovah's Witnesses, their beliefs as they compare with what the Bible teaches. Currently, we are moving into a study on the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Come and join us Sundays at 9:15AM for this study. Let's learn together so that we will all be more equipped to share the Hope that we as believers have with those around us.

Do not allow Good Friday to pass by without taking a few moments, at least, to give Jesus thanks for what He did for you and I. Spend some time also thanking the Father for the sacrifice He gave. And thank the Holy Spirit for coming to minister to us.

We have begun a New Sunday School study, and we want YOU to come and be a part of the learning and discussion. We are studying cults and other religions, and looking into why we believe the Bible to be the Written Word of God, and the ONLY True source of TRUTH. There are many who claim they have the Truth, but through this study you will begin to see why Christianity, thus following Christ, believing Him as Lord and Savior, and Trusting in the Word of God for All Truth is not only the best option, but why it is the correct option. Come and journey with us as we learn of others' beliefs so that we might better be equipped to witness to them.

in the Lakeview Church Youth Room.

New Bible Study - Sunday Nights for Core-Life Groups

There is a brand new Bible Study taking place on Sunday nights, and the focus is on "Getting to Know the Living Savior" The Gospel of John. We will be meeting most Sunday Nights from 6:30-8:00PM to discuss and study together the Book of John. We will striving to find out more about our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ through the Apostle John's eye witness testimony, and assessing the theological implications that arise from the text along the way. Come out and join the group if you have a passion and desire for learning about about the True Risen Savior Jesus.
